Workshops For Every Crowd

The Eulenspiegel Puppets are well known for their high quality workshops and residencies in the creation and manipulation of many styles of puppets and in puppet performance. The puppeteers have been active in the Iowa Arts Council's Artists-in-the-Schools Program since 1977. They work with students of all ages, from lower elementary to adult. Come to Owl Glass Puppetry Center in West Liberty, Iowa to attend one of the many workshops available there. Or you can have the puppeteers come to your school or community for the following educational events.

A three-day performance/workshop package can include performances as well as workshops in the creation and manipulation of hand puppets, shadow puppets, rod puppets, or simple marionettes. The puppeteers draw on their 30 plus years of experience to

teach puppet-making and performance techniques that are accessible, cost-effective, fun and foolproof.

Giant puppet-building residencies. If your community has a parade, a festival, or a special event, get your hands messy with papier maché! Wow the spectators! Hire the Eulenspiegel Puppeteers to help a local group build giant puppets around the theme of your event.

Workshops for teachers, librarians, and other interested adults. The puppeteers draw on their 30 years of experience working as artists in the schools to teach puppet-making and performance techniques that are accessible, cost-effective, fun and fool -proof.
