The Eulenspiegel (OIL-N-SPEEGEL) Puppets delight audiences with a large repertoire of international folktales and historical fiction, including Sal Fink, Catfish Wrangler, The Amazing Adventures of Willy the Woolly, Stories and Cuentos, Little Red Riding Hood, and many others.
Based in Iowa and touring nationally and internationally, Eulenspiegel is known for original scripts, whimsical scenery, live music, and beautifully crafted puppets, including miniature marionettes, near life-size hand-and-rod puppets, shadow puppets, and giant parade puppets. The company also provides community performances YOU can participate in as well as special shows for older audiences!
Workshops and residencies teaching many types of puppetry to people of all ages are especially popular. If you wish to bring the troupe into your community, the puppeteers will help you select the best performance or workshop for you!
The Eulenspiegel Puppets are rostered artists on the Iowa Arts Council's performing and educational rosters and are approved through the Character Counts! Through the Arts! program.
